The first ski resorts have already opened and it’s time to book your winter holidays. Even if not actively running ski it makes sense to go to the mountains, because of the fresh air and the sun on top of the mountains. Most of the local ski resorts in Lower Austria will open on 19 December, if the snow conditions will allow it. As these low-lying ski resorts don’t always have enough snow due to the climate change, it’s better to check it beforehand.
